Pageboy was One of the Popular Hairstyles
Pageboy hairstyle |
The pageboy was a hairstyle that was popular in the 1950's. You can see these hairstyles on one of the characters in the movie Pulp Fiction. It was a very basic style that involved a straight shoulder-length cut, and bangs that went straight across the forehead. This style was worn by both men and women alike, but it seemed to have a much better appearance on women. There are a lot of women today that still wear this style. It is easy to take care of, and it does not require a lot of products in order to make it look nice.
Beehive
Beehive hairstyle |
The beehive was one of the most popular hairstyles of the 1950's and the 1960's. This hairstyle resembled the Marie Antoinette, but it involved much less maintenance. There were a lot of women that wore this hairstyle, but as with the other styles that involved a lot of work, this one faded with time as well. You can see a good version of this style in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's with Audrey Hepburn. You have to have special features to be able to pull off this style. It was most recently worn by Amy Winehouse, and it worked for her features.

Should You have the Rapunzel Hairstyles?
Rapunzel Hairstyles |
The Rapunzel hairstyle is exactly what it sounds like. It involves growing your hair out as long as you possibly can. This may sound extremely easy, but there is a lot of care that goes along with having hair that goes down to your feet. You have to make sure that you take the time to brush it and condition it. You will also have to consider that having that much hair on your head does put a lot of strain on your neck. When you have hair this long on your back, you have to make sure that you not only clean your hair, but you also have to make sure that you clean your back as well. This may not be one of the hairstyles that you should try.
The Popular Ponytail Hairstyles of Today
Ponytail Hairstyle |
The ponytail became one of the most popular hairstyles because it kept the long hair out of women's faces. Making a ponytail is extremely easy no matter what kind of hair that you have. All that you have to do is gather your hair in one place on your head and fasten it with a band or a clip. It was popular to dress up this hairstyle in the 80's with barrettes, ribbons, and bows. This is a hairstyle that most every woman can pull of no matter whether you have bangs or not as long as your hair is long enough. You can even pull half of your hair up and leave the rest down.
Shag Hairstyles
Shag Hairstyle |
The shag is still one of the most popular hairstyles today. There are many women that like this style because it is fairly low maintenance, but it still looks nice. In order to have this look, you will have to have either mid-length or short hair. Then, there are layers that are added into the hair to provide it with a messy or textured look. If you do not like to use hair products in your hair, then maybe this is not the best style for you. You will have to make sure that you fix your hair each morning before you start your day because if you do not do this, then this hairstyle will not look nice.
Pixie Cut Hairstyles
The pixie cut was a popular cut because it was very easy to take care of. If you do not mind having short hair, then this is one of the hairstyles for you. You will first have to make sure that you have the right features in order to pull of this style. Not all women look good with a pixie cut, but there are many women that look beautiful with it. If you decide to go with this cut, you will not have to worry about what you would like to do with your hair. Your basic choices are where to put your part, or if you should not have a part at all.

The Afro was one of the Popular Hairstyles
In the 1970's, the afro was one of the most popular hairstyles. There was a lot of meaning that came along with this style. For example, some of the meanings that went along with it were progressive political views and racial pride. This was the hairstyle that was almost impossible for anyone to achieve that did not have the natural hair to pull it off. The afro did not involve putting many different kinds of styling products in the hair. This style was one that showed that natural is beautiful because you did not have to do anything to your hair.
